2nd Annual Ohio Mickey’s Camp for men!

Mickey's Camp was the long-time dream of Indianapolis businessman Mickey Maurer. In 2001, this dream came true with the inaugural Mickey's Camp Indiana. In the past ten years, Mickey's Camp enabled adults to leave behind daily pressures, explore new opportunities, perfect old skills and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow campers in a relaxed, informal atmosphere.
Last year the Indiana women's and men's camps combined to raise more than $250,000 for 144 charities. This year we are excited to expand the Mickey's Camp experience to Ohio, on September 7-9, at Camp Kern.
Your time will be filled with exciting 90-minute sessions throughout Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Options include gourmet cooking, poker, golf, canoeing, billiards and so much more. You may also relax around the pool, have a massage or read a good book. Evening activities promise to be equally enjoyable as you will have the opportunity to engage in dialogue with Colonel Tom Moe, dine on delicious cuisine provided by TGI Friday's and Stone Creek, play in a poker tournament, eat s'mores around the campfire or turn the lights out early and rest up for another exciting day at camp. This year, other sponsored meals include: Eddie Merlot's, McAlister's Deli, and the Mayerson JCC.
Read on to learn about what's in store for you at Mickey's Camp. Sign up soon; reservations will be held on a first come, first served basis.

Eddie Merlot's
LUNCH THURSDAY
Quality, exceptional service and an unparalleled atmosphere have made Eddie Merlot's one of America's great steak houses. But who is Eddie Merlot? Bill Humphries, founder of Eddie Merlot's, is a well-known wine connoisseur. In fact, Bill's talent for choosing appropriate dinner wine was one of his responsibilities as a board member for a worldwide corporation. At one such dinner, Ed, a new member, asked Bill to surprise him with a great wine. When the wine—a Merlot—was served, Ed was exceedingly impressed, and told Bill, "From now on, always order the Merlot." "And from now on," Bill replied, "you're Eddie Merlot." To this day, that's what Ed's fellow board members call him. Eddie Merlot's is an homage to the man and his love of a great steak, a great glass of wine and a good story. We welcome you to Eddie Merlot's in the same spirit. We want you, our guest, to have nothing but the best—which is why we go to such lengths to serve you the exceptional prime aged steaks upon which our restaurant has built its reputation.
